Thinking about "purpose of life" or "why we exist", one who believes in God, may say one of the three....
1. some may say..be good to others as one understands and thats it
2. some may say....no specific purpose...live and die
3. some may say...no no...we have got guidance from God and He wants us to do this and this and this
Now a honest person will evaluate all three to check which one is correct and follow it right?
So if some says option 1. to be good to others and live life as u understand that’s it, shall we agree to it without considering option 2. or option3? What if option 3. is true and we reject God's guidance knowingly?
What if someone says a particular thing is from God and that thing is the best with all the reason n logic n morality n equality? then is it befit to reject it blindly?
Now....when I say that God must have sent guidance to mankind...It's based on few points...
a. Do we say God created mankind and left just like that...Do we humans do such act...that after creating a beautiful house, detailing out each and everything of it and ignore it? Do we make a nice painting just like that for no reason? How can we expect God to be so poor in wisdom that He created entire Universe and human beings and the perfect order of it...for "nothing"? Is it Wisdom?
b. When we look around, we find so much difference; some are rich while others are poor, some are healthy while some are born blind, deaf, dump or diseased? So the Creator of all, who created everything, and when he knows that there is no specific purpose of it, why didn't He made all of us best of rich, healthy to enjoy the life...? Is it Justice or Mercifulness?
c. When we look around, we find crime around us; someone using their power to kill others, oppress others, loot and rape other fellow human beings and due to his influence many a times even escaping justice of this world. Now just think over it...How Merciful the God is who created people with differences and also allowed the crimes when he knew there will be no hereafter and accountability of deeds or punishment for crime? Is it Justice?
d. When we look around, we find many a people sacrificing their happiness for betterment of others. They even give their life to save others. Knowing that this is the life with no hereafter where a person will get reward for his deeds, why does He allow many a people to take hardship and suffer to do good....? Is it Justice?
e. When we look around, we find a plethora of religions around us..most of them saying they are the truest of the religions and some compromising on everything as truth...no matter what they teach or based upon. Now the God left His beautiful creations in the hands of few mean people who misguide them in His name?...Tell lie in His name that they have received it from God and God says so etc...They make people fight in God's name for filling their pockets and they spread all kind of hatred among peoples for their own benefits...Some religion which claims itself to be true (Islam) and even challenges anyone to bring forward a revelation similar to it or find a contradiction or a single mistake to prove it NOT from God...And He (The God) never replies back to correct them and let people know the truth? Is it Wisdom? Is it Justice?
There can be many more arguments, but I'll restrict to above five...
In reply, a skeptic may answer....So what? Who told you God cannot be unjust and unwise and not merciful?
It is such a great blasphemy on God but let's not get emotional and assess it from an objective view point...What is reply of God to all this? Has God kept silent to above allegations we make directly / indirectly on Him when we say/believe that He has not sent guidance and left us after creating us. He just maintains the Universe in balance for us and thats...it...?
1. God has sent the miracles and unquestionable proofs & logic to guide mankind in all the time, all the place... His miracles and signs were so clear that it separated truth from falsehood and made it very distinct what He wants and what He doesn't want...He has not left it on whims an fancies of prophets, saints, gurus as what they think about Him and what they think about purpose/no-purpose of life. He has revealed clear message of His to the true prophets He chose to deliver His message to mankind. He has set a just criteria of accountability on whatever guidance is received by an individual no matter if one is residing in
2. He has also given mankind the gift of intellect to understand distinction between truth and falsehood. A false religion no matter how much decorated, attractive its made, its bad odour, illogic, unjust, contradiction, inauthenticity
3. I already explained you the basic flaws in the false religions propagated and how they are illogical, based on thoughts and philosophies of people and why they can't be from God. They also don't have a stamp of proof of them being from God. Just anyone saying a message from God doesn't make it from God, right? I also explained you through PPT (The True Religion.ppt) as how and why Islam qualifies to be from God with its attainability not limited to a prophet, book or place. Now let's examine a couple of miracles of Islam and proofs which I feel are unquestionable and justifies it to be truly from God.
a. Existence of Qura'n is the biggest argument and miracle for truth of Islam and Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) then be it....Challenge of Qura'n (find contradictions, bring something similar to it...),Prophet Mohammed's (pbuh) life and teachings, Prophecies (about and of Mohammed (pbuh)) in earlier scriptures and Scientific Facts (not just interpretations to match it), Perfect description of past events and people. 100% true prophecies about future events. Qura'n itself claims of it being from God and asks to prove it wrong. The basic message of Islam is only "Submission to Will of Allah (The God)" - Live life as he has commanded in His revelation and through His prophet (pbuh).
b. Best system for the mankind from individual, family, social, commercial, political, justice, criminal law, family law, societal law perspective. Be it prohibition of interest, gambling, alcohol etc. or be it a system of Zakat, Charity or be it guidelines to settle family disputes or be it guidelines to settle societal/national disputes or be it best and most practical system to curb the crime - not just by punishment but firstly by establishing a system not to let it flourish itself. Be it guideline and examples of treatment with parents, neighbours, relatives and other fellow mankind or be it clear explanation to settle matter of inheritance in peaceful and just manner. Be it guidelines for market to avoid cheating, greed and lust or Be it guidelines to prosper in market in a just and truthful manner. Be it guidelines to enjoin doing good and avoiding evil with all the abilities or be it god fearing and considerate in whatever we do. Be it a simple guideline of Meswaak (brushing teeth between every Namaz) to be it ablution and namaz itself which makes a person more pious. Be it the practical means to unite people in one brotherhood or be it love, affection and respect for all mankind irrespective of religion. Be it a guidance for 24x7 or be it freedom to live the life in line with God's wish which is the best of the system. Be it freedom from the desires and lust and greed of the world or be it a perfect balance between spiritual and materialistic aspects of the life where a person can simultaneously excel in both spheres of life. Be it peace in heart and mind that it offers or be it peace it spreads in lives of mankind. Not a single teaching is asking to do something evil or injustice.
Now you tell me, Can Islam and Qura'n be from other than God? Had Mohammed (pbuh) thought it? Or His companions? Or people after him?
If it is from people, why can't no one ever met its challenges...Why can't the "most civilized and most intellectual" nations of the world till date lack many of the guidelines which this "uncivilized nation's illiterate" person has presented to the world...Why will a person after presenting such a complete and perfect way of life attribute it to God and at the same time "curse a person who does write something on its own and attribute it to God"...Why didn't God reply/expose/correct people to let them know the truth...What is the source of the accurate information of past and future? What is the source of guidelines most practical and apt for mankind?
Indeed Qura'n and Islam is from Allah - the Lord of the worlds, His final revelation for our guidance...The life of this world is nothing but a moment we should spend as per His wish. We will be accountable for the guidance we received. So u decide, Ignore the message OR ponder over it?..Ask questions with open heart if you have those...May Allah bless you with guidance....
There is no compulsion in religion. The right direction is henceforth distinct from error. And he who rejecteth false deities and believeth in Allah hath grasped a firm handhold which will never break. Allah is Hearer, Knower. (256) Allah is the Protecting Guardian of those who believe. He bringeth them out of darkness into light. As for those who disbelieve, their patrons are false deities. They bring them out of light into darkness. Such are rightful owners of the Fire. They will abide therein. (257)
Still if you feel..."so what...ignore above, I have lots of material which is against Islam...". Believe me...there are more than 80,000 websites floating on internet which speaks against Islam....I have gone through some of them and their claims as well...These misconceptions and false allegations have no weight. If you don't believe share with me one of the biggest doubt you have against Islam being truth and see for yourself, how wrong the interpretation was....So do not ignore clear facts because you didn't understand few things. Allah will clear them as well...Just have an intention to learn...
I urge u to read Quran and listen to it...Indeed it has cure for the diseases of the heart....Read it as much as possible...http://www.quranexplorer.com/Quran/Default.aspx
When you get guidance pass it on to others who have not received it yet...
Assalam-u-aleikum,
Ahmed
